We’re hosting our first in-person networking event and you’re invited!
Whether you’re policy at the local, state, or federal level, or simply curious to explore and learn more, this gathering is all about building meaningful connections with fellow Muslimahs. You’ll have the chance to meet like-minded women, share experiences, exchange resources, and foster relationships that can inspire both personal and professional growth. The event is free but we would appreciate your support with any amount you can donate here. We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit and look forward to continuing to bring programming and spaces for us all to connect, inshAllah. Thank YOU for attending and making this a huge success, we loved getting to meet you and hope to do more events like this in the future, inshAllah! And a special thank you to the Muslim Civic Coalition and Al-Misbah for sponsoring this event! |
Virtual Community Learning Session:
The tide turning in Mainstream Media & The Power of our Collective Voice
|
Join Muslimahs in Policy for another community learning session with Malak Silmi. Malak is a Palestinian writer based in California. She is currently obtaining her master's in creative writing at UC Davis, but prior to that she worked as a journalist at multiple newsrooms in Michigan and Texas. She mainly covered politics, elections and local government and freelanced for outlets including In These Times magazine and Al Jazeera. She also runs a Substack titled, Sour Oranges.
Alongside Malak, we will create a space to take a collective breath after two years of intensive dissonance in the media on the oppression faced by the Palestinian people in Gaza and beyond. Join us to learn, to engage, to reflect and take a breath. The conversation will be moderated by our Co-Director of Development, Hauwa Abbas. This event has passed, thank you for attending. If you missed us, please click HERE to watch the recording! (Passcode: ?1fng17y) |
Virtual Community Panel: Routes of PolicyJoin us as we get into a conversation with four leaders who have each forged their own unique path in the greater field of policy. From working as a political data analyst to representing the state to grassroots organizing and advocacy to policymaking as a lawyer.
The session will have time for Q and A plus a little bit of networking! We are so excited to connect with you! This event has passed, thank you for attending. If you missed us, please click HERE to watch the recording! |
